The Coverage Index (CI)

The Coverage Index is the scale restorers use to describe how much skin coverage they have, from a tight circumcision at CI-0 to full coverage with generous overhang at CI-10. This is the scale the Forestorers journal uses for your profile and progress tracking. Match yourself against the drawings; when in doubt, trust the picture over the words.

CI-0, Extremely Tight: flaccid penis with no slack shaft skin, glans fully exposed — CI-0 · Extremely Tight

Very tight circumcision. No slack skin at all; erections may feel tight or uncomfortable.

CI-1, Tight Cut: flaccid penis with minimal slack shaft skin — CI-1 · Tight Cut

Very little slack skin when flaccid. A typical tight circumcision.

CI-2, Average Cut: flaccid penis with some loose shaft skin, well short of the glans rim — CI-2 · Average Cut

Some skin movement along the shaft, still well short of the glans rim.

CI-3, Loose Cut: flaccid penis with skin bunching behind the glans rim — CI-3 · Loose Cut

Noticeable slack; skin bunches up behind the glans rim. A loose circumcision.

CI-4, Intermittent Rollover: flaccid penis with skin reaching the coronal rim — CI-4 · Intermittent Rollover

Skin starts reaching the coronal rim when flaccid. The first big milestone.

CI-5, Permanent Coverage: flaccid penis with skin rolling over the glans rim, less than half the glans covered — CI-5 · Permanent Coverage

Skin rolls over the rim; less than half the glans covered when flaccid.

CI-6, Majority Coverage: flaccid penis with more than half the glans covered — CI-6 · Majority Coverage

More than half the glans covered when flaccid.

CI-7, Full Coverage: flaccid penis with the glans fully covered — CI-7 · Full Coverage

Glans fully covered when flaccid, though the shape may still show through.

CI-8, Flaccid Overhang: flaccid penis with full coverage and a closing overhang — CI-8 · Flaccid Overhang

Full, reliable flaccid coverage; some coverage begins to hold when erect.

CI-9, Loose Overhang: flaccid penis with full coverage and overhang forming — CI-9 · Loose Overhang

Full flaccid coverage with overhang forming; near-complete coverage when erect.

Most restorers start somewhere between CI-0 and CI-4 and move roughly one level per one to two years of consistent tugging.
